This policy covers the Noodle Assistant Android app, the optional Noodle Assistant account, and this website, noodleassistant.com. In short: what you save never leaves your phone; an account, if you make one, holds only your email and a few facts about your phone; this website counts visits only if you agree.
The app
Everything you save (links, photos, videos, PDFs, notes, voice notes), the text read from them, their translations, search indexes and the answers the on-device AI writes are stored in the app's private storage on your phone. Photos and videos you take in the app are kept in your phone's Pictures/Noodle Assistant folder. None of it is sent to us or to any AI or cloud service.
The app connects to the internet only to:
- read a YouTube video or Instagram post you shared (only that link);
- read a web page you saved (that page, its redirects and its lead image);
- download the on-device models, once, from Hugging Face and Google (translation packs);
- sign in and choose models, if you use the optional account (below).
The app has no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting service.
The optional account
You can use the app without an account. If you sign in (with Google or with a code sent to your email), we use it to pick the models that suit your phone. We keep:

We never receive anything you saved. The account data is stored with Supabase (our database and sign-in provider), the server runs on Vercel, and sign-in emails are sent through Resend. Google sees that you signed in to Noodle Assistant when you use Google sign-in. These providers process the data only to run the service for us.
Deleting your account: use Delete account in the app's account settings, or email privacy@noodleassistant.com. Your account and everything listed above are deleted at once. Your library on the phone is not touched.
This website
The website is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser) for security and operation.
If you press Accept on the cookie banner, the site loads Google Analytics, which sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) and tells us which pages were visited, roughly where from, on what kind of device, and which download buttons were clicked. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4. If you press Decline or do nothing, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
Children
The app and the account are not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly create accounts for them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes and the app or the site will say so for significant changes.
