# Noodle vs mymind: two "save it, skip the folders" apps compared

> mymind is a visual saving app on iPhone, Android, Mac and the browser. Noodle keeps saves on your Android phone and reads videos and voice notes. Who should pick which.

If you save images, products and articles to browse later, and you use a laptop or an iPhone as well as Android, mymind is the better pick. Noodle fits a narrower case: you're on Android, you save videos, photos and voice notes, and you want to find them by what they say without anything leaving the phone. We make Noodle, so read this with that in mind.

## Which one to pick

- Pick mymind if you want a calm, image-first place for links, pictures and notes on iPhone, Android, Mac and the browser, kept in step across all of them, and you're happy to pay a subscription once you pass 100 saves.
- Pick Noodle if you're on Android, want what you save to stay on your phone, and want to find things by what a video says, the words in a photo or what you said in a voice note. It's also free.
- Use both if you collect inspiration on a laptop and also save how-to videos and receipts on your phone. The split is easy (more on that below).

## What each one is

**mymind** is a private, ad-free place to save what you find: articles, images, products, quotes, notes and videos. Its AI tags each save, reads the text in images, and sorts related saves into **Smart Spaces**, so there are no folders to keep up. It has apps for iPhone, Android and Mac and extensions for Chrome, Edge and Safari, all in sync. It promises no ads, no social features and no collaboration, on purpose.

**Noodle** is a free Android app that does a similar job on the phone. Share a YouTube video, an Instagram post, a web article, photos, a PDF or a voice note into it. Noodle reads the words inside, suggests a category and tags, and lets you find things later from a description. Everything stays on your phone. It also has a short daily list, [Plan](https://www.noodleassistant.com/#plan), and offers reminders from dates it spots in your saves.

## How we compared

We looked at what people do with a saving app every week: getting things in, finding them again, where the saves live, which devices it covers, offline use and price. Each app gets the same rows. We use Noodle every day. For mymind we read its own pages (pricing, help center and its privacy and AI policies) in October 2026, and we say where those pages don't answer a question rather than guess.

## How they compare, feature by feature

## Where mymind is better

The first two are the ones you'll notice every day.

- It's on more of your devices. iPhone, Android, Mac and the browser, all in step. Save a lamp on your laptop, find it on your phone in the shop. Noodle can't do that yet; if you change phones, you move a backup file by hand.
- It's built for looking. mymind shows your saves as a grid of images, so a board of recipes, shoes or room ideas reads like a magazine page. Noodle's Library is a practical list. If you save for inspiration, mymind is the nicer place to browse.
- Smart Spaces keep themselves up to date. All your recipes, all your chairs, gathered without you making anything. Noodle has one flat list of categories you can rename and reorder, and it suggests one per save, but it doesn't build live collections.
- "Same Vibe". On the top plan, mymind can show saves that look alike. Noodle can find photos by what's in them from a description, but it has nothing like browsing by look.
- Saving from a computer. One click in the browser extension. With Noodle you share from your phone.
- It's settled and easy to install. mymind has been around for several years and is in the app stores. Noodle launched in 2026, comes from a small team and is a download from our website, not the Play Store yet.

## Where Noodle is better

- Your saves never leave your phone. mymind keeps your saves on its service, operated in the US, and its AI reads them there. Its policy says your data isn't used for training and the model makers never receive it. Noodle reads, tags and searches everything on the phone itself. See [how privacy works in Noodle](https://www.noodleassistant.com/#privacy).
- It reads what's inside videos and voice. Share a cooking video and search later for "the bit about resting the dough". Noodle finds it and plays from that moment. Your own voice notes are written out as you speak. See [how saving and finding works](https://www.noodleassistant.com/#how).
- You can ask your saves. Ask Noodle answers questions from what you saved, with numbered sources you can tap. It's small and simpler than big online assistants, and answers can be wrong, but it says when the answer isn't in your saves. See [Ask Noodle](https://www.noodleassistant.com/#ask).
- It all works offline on Android. Search, your Library and Ask work without a connection.
- Other languages. Noodle translates saves in other languages to English, so you can find a Spanish recipe video by describing it in English.
- A planner and reminders. A short daily list you can link to saves, and reminders from dates Noodle spots, like a policy's end date in a photo.

> **Where Noodle falls short next to mymind**
>
> - Android only. No iPhone app, no Mac or Windows app, no web app and no browser extension yet.
> - No sync between devices. Backup is a file you export and restore by hand.
> - Not on the Play Store yet; you install it from our website.
> - Brand new and made by a small team, so expect rough edges.
> - Plainer to look at. No image boards and no "find things that look like this".
> - Reading YouTube and Instagram relies on their public pages, which can break when they change.
> - The smart features are a one-time download that takes storage and works best on newer phones.
> - No import from mymind or other apps yet.

## Price and privacy

As of October 2026, mymind's guest plan is free up to 100 cards. Paid plans start with The Bookmarker at $4.99 a month (bookmarks only). Student of Life is $7.99 a month or $79 a year. Mastermind, which adds AI summaries and "Same Vibe", is $12.99 a month or $129 a year. See [mymind's pricing](https://mymind.com/pricing).

On privacy, mymind promises no ads and never selling your data. Its [privacy policy](https://mymind.com/privacypolicy) says the service is operated in the US. Its [AI usage policy](https://mymind.com/ai-usage-policy) says private saves are analyzed by third-party models through Amazon Bedrock and aren't used for training.

Noodle is free, with no limit on how much you save beyond your phone's storage. A paid Cloud plan is planned but not available (see [pricing](https://www.noodleassistant.com/#pricing)). Nothing you save is uploaded; Noodle goes online only to read a link you saved, for one-time downloads and for the optional sign-in.

## Using both

They don't get in each other's way. Keep mymind for inspiration you browse by eye on every device: design references, products, home ideas. Use Noodle on your Android phone for things you'll want to find by what they say: how-to videos, voice notes, photos of receipts, articles you'll quote later.

Neither app imports from the other yet, and Noodle has no import at all. So pick a home for each kind of thing rather than saving twice, and don't plan on moving an old mymind library over.
